SUMMARY
The Cornell School District doesn't cap the number of college credits a student can earn in high school, in fact, we encourage students to take as many college courses as possible through Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC). Please take some time to review CVTC High School Academies a variety of opportunities tailored to and enrolled in by only high school students in the region. If there isn't an academy that fits your interests, check out CVTC Programs and discuss opportunities with Mrs. Hakes about being enrolled as a regular, full-time college student through the Start College Now (SCN) program. There is an academy or program that fits almost everyone's career path.
To apply for an academy please download the fillable forms below for the academy you would like to attend. Return to Andrea Hakes at the Cornell High school office.
*Please note, you only need to fill out the two documents that pertain to the academy you would like to attend* You do NOT need to apply to the CVTC academy on the CVTC page. Mrs. Hakes will apply to CVTC for you.
For more information on the available academies, please follow this link. If you do not see an academy that you are interested in, please reach out to the Cornell High School office to discuss options.
Transferology.com is where you can check to see which CVTC courses transfer to what at the college you plan to attend.
Be sure to get a list of all courses needed to graduate from the college of your choice in the program you desire. You will find these on their websites. Know what classes you need for the degree program to save yourself time and money. College advisors are not always looking out for you. You need to be prepared before you register for classes.
